It is a fact that Denuvo has dramatically reduced gaming performance, especially on the processor front. Denuvo games are protected against piracy for at least a while, but the player’s experience is undermined. A similar test was performed at Devil May Cry 5 and its effects were highlighted.
The PC version of Devil May Cry 5 was normally released with Denuvo, but a user has found a way to run the game without Denuvo and has prepared a guide. While claiming that the non-Denuvo .exe file had a performance increase of 20fps, we also had the chance to test it, but then Steam was able to play it, making it possible to play the game only with Denuvo. However, we were able to see to what extent performance changed.
The Devil May Cry 5 included a Core i5 8400 processor, 16GB of RAM and an AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB graphics card. However, the video card was disabled as much as possible to understand the CPU load of the game, the game was run in interlace mode at 480p resolution. As a result of the tests, Denuvo has shown that the game offers a lesser frame rate of 13-20fps.
Therefore, as in other games, Devil May Cry 5 also has a great impact on Denuvo’s performance. So many players are protesting the games with Denuvo, and some players never buy.
Here’s the difference in performance:
